Welcome!
We are so thrilled that you are interested in classes at the Yoga Center of Columbia. Our four classrooms in our Columbia, MD studio feature yoga, Pilates, meditation, qigong, and more, and most of our classes are also available live-streamed online. We serve the Baltimore-Washington area, including Ellicott City, Laurel, Catonsville, Elkridge, Fulton, and Sykesville, and online we serve the world. Our class sizes are limited so you get personalized attention, plus we have over 100 classes per week, giving you the most flexibility in scheduling around. We are a welcoming and inclusive studio, truly for All Abilities, All Bodies, All Ages.
If you are brand new to yoga, Pilates, meditation, or qigong or have only practiced a handful of times, we would suggest starting with a class marked Beginner friendly. These options move at a slower pace, and the instructor will guide you through the basics. Some will include a free introductory video as well. For those of you who have taken classes but still consider yourself fairly new, our gentle and level 1 classes move at a moderate pace, and the instructor still guides you through the poses and moves. If you are looking for a bit of a challenge and would like to explore deeper poses, or more challenges, try our level 1-2, 2, and 2-3 classes.
With that said, we provide modifications in all our classes and invite you to always listen to your body. At the Yoga Center of Columbia, we pride ourselves on creating a nurturing space where all are welcome to practice and grow at their own pace.

Please arrive 10 minutes early so that you may set up your mat and meet your teacher.
You are welcome to bring your own mat and props or borrow ours for free.
For your convenience, we have changing rooms, restrooms, and a water bottle filler. Remember to bring your water bottle.

Please arrive 10 minutes early for class, we close the doors five minutes after the class start time.
Please leave your shoes in the changing room; street shoes are not allowed in the practice space. Bring your valuables into the classroom and place them in a cubby.
Silence your cell phone and leave it in the cubbies with your belongings.
Your body temperature will go up as you practice, so we suggest you wear comfortable layers.
It is wise to avoid a large meal for two hours prior to class. Fruit and small snacks are generally okay.

Pre-registration is required for all classes to ensure your spot.
Cancellation Policy: Cancel at least 1 hour prior to the start of class.
