  • If you are able to attend a regular weekly class (or classes) on a consistent basis, a membership is for you. A membership automatically renews each month on the same day of your purchase. For example, if you purchase the membership on Sept 10, it will renew on Oct 10, Nov 10, and so on. 

    If you are not able to attend on a regular weekly basis, then a class pack will be your best bet. Choose either 5 or 10 classes to be used within three months. When you have completed your 5 or 10 classes, then you will have to make a new purchase of a new pack.

  • Yes. Once you make your membership selection, you do not have to do anything more until you want to cancel or change something. For memberships, Momence securely stores your credit card on file and automatically charges you each month. A membership automatically renews each month on the same day of your purchase. For example, if you purchase the membership on Sept 10, it will renew on Oct 10, Nov 10, and so on.

    If you do not want automatic renewal, please choose a class pack instead.

  • Basically, there are different perks with different levels of membership. All levels receive 10% off retail purchases and a reduced rate for additional classes above your allotted membership amount. Some memberships offer a 10% discount on YCC Instructor-led workshops and some offer a free guest pass per month. Please view all of the benefits here on our Pricing page.

  • There is no contract so you can cancel at any time and use any paid classes remaining on your purchase through the end of that month.

  • Please cancel yourself out of class before class takes place so it will be credited back to your account. This works for memberships or class packs. If you do not cancel yourself out of class ahead of time, the system considers this a “no-show” and your account will be debited. If you forget to cancel yourself out of class by accident, please contact us within 48 hours and we will happily make the adjustment – adding back your missed class to your account.

  • Please use all of the classes you purchased in the month you purchase them. Unused classes or guest passes are not carried over into the next month. Your “month” begins the day you purchase your membership, it is not based on the calendar month. For example, if you purchase a monthly recurring membership on the 7th of the month, your recurring membership will renew on the 7th of the next month and each following until you cancel.

    If you find you are not using all the classes you’ve purchased in a month, we can transfer your membership to a smaller amount of classes, from 8x/month to 4x/month for example. You may transfer to a new membership with fewer classes, or you may switch to a 5 or 10 class pack which expires in three months’ time. 

  • Yes. We offer the same discounts as before: 10% off for seniors 65+, military personnel with id, and teens. Enter your code on the check out page and be sure to click “apply” to make sure it takes. You will see the discount on the checkout page once you do this. If you do not, please check for typos and make sure you click “apply.” Call or stop by the front desk to get the promo code.

  • Yes. If you purchase a membership and enter the code at checkout, your renewal price will also reflect the discount.

    Discount codes do not transfer with a new class pack purchase. In other words, each time you purchase a class pack, you need to re-enter the discount promo code.

  • If you have a monthly membership, which averages to one class per week, and there are five weeks in a particular membership renewal period, please continue to take class during the fifth week. The system will automatically charge you for the additional class(es) above your allotted number of classes.

    4x/month additional classes: $17

    8x/month additional classes: $16

    12x/month additional classes: $15

    16x/month additional classes: $14


    If there are five weeks in a calendar month during your membership period and you miss a week because you are out of town for example, then you still have your four weeks of classes and it comes out even.

  • Please call or stop by the front desk and we can “freeze” your membership until you return. This way you will not be expected to keep up with classes or make-up missed class while you are out of town. This gives you flexibility to complete all of your allotted classes over a longer term because you are/were out of town. When you return, please let us know so we can “unfreeze” your account. 

    When an account is reactivated, it will then continue to renew based on the remainder of time allotted.

  • As in the past, we are happy to work with you for extenuating circumstances. Please call or stop by the front desk and we can freeze your membership or otherwise make adjustments for you.

  • We can easily transfer one membership to another membership, please just call or stop by the front desk and we can help you with this.

  • Please go to the Class Schedule and click “Book Now” for the class you would like to take. If you do not already have a class pack or a membership, you will be asked to select one, or choose a drop in class.

    Reserve your class from our Schedule page, the Class Description page or your Teacher’s page.

    If you would like to attend the same class each week, you make select the toggle for “recurring” class and be automatically registered for that class for each week.

    If at some point you no longer want to be registered on a recurring basis in a class, please contact the front desk to cancel the recurring registration.

    We no longer have class sessions or semesters, each class is continuous and on-going.

  • Missed classes do not carry over. Please keep this in mind when choosing the proper membership for you. If you plan to attend one class per week, then the 4x/month membership is ideal. If you plan to attend two classes per week, choose the 8x/month option, and so on. If you miss your regular class, please do your make-up before your month expires. Upon renewal, the membership class amount resets. You can view your renewal date in your account on the app under “Subscriptions.”

    It is very easy to register or cancel a class from our branded app. Please go to our homepage for the link, or go to the App Store or Google Play and search for Columbia Yoga.

  • A membership or class pack begins on the date of purchase.

  • If you would like a different renewal date, please call the front desk between the hours of 9am and 1pm Monday - Saturday and we can do that for you. Some students prefer a renewal to happen at the beginning of the month to make accounting easier, this is a simple switch.

  • Yes. The system allows you to share your membership or your class pack with someone else. If you want to share your membership or class pack, please contact the front desk so they can set that up for you. Sharing transfers with your automatically renewing membership, it does not transfer with a class pack or your account itself. In other words, if you cancel a membership or your pack expires, you must set up a new share.

    If you are sharing a membership, the sharing will continue as long as you automatically renew that membership. If you cancel that membership and purchase something else, you will need to contact the front desk again to set up a new share.

    Class packs expire after three months. If you are sharing a class pack, when it expires, you will have to contact the front desk to set up sharing on a new pack. If you prefer a class pack to a membership, you may prefer to just purchase the class for your friend or family member using your pack for your shared person instead of sharing the whole pack, that way you stay in control of the sharing option and you do not need to make an extra call to the front desk.

  • Momence is a secure system, however, if you do not want to store your credit card in the system, then please choose a Class Pack option.

  • If a student chooses the recurring class option or if the student registers for class ahead of time, those classes may be marked as “unpaid” until two hours before class begins. The system is set to reconcile unpaid classes two hours before the actual class. You do not need to worry about it saying “unpaid,” it will be deducted from your membership or pack before class begins, or if it is an additional class above the allotted membership amount, then the system will charge you the additional (reduced) membership rate for the additional class.

    So, the bottom line is do not worry about anything saying “unpaid” unless it is within two hours before class starts, it will be reconciled then. If it is still marked as unpaid, please see the front desk.

  • We loved our quarterly sessions too, and most instructors are continuing their same teaching format. With our new system, you can still renew quarterly. Choose the 10 class pack which lasts three months. There will be two to three extra weeks within that time period that you could miss class built in, or you can purchase your next class pack as soon as the current one runs out.

  • When you click “Book” your class, on the checkout page there will be an option to “Add Someone Else” or it will say “Want to bring a guest?” depending on if you are in the app or on our website. Click that button and follow the prompts.

    With the 12x per month and 16x per month memberships, students receive one free guest pass per month. Add your guest the same as above and the system knows to make that class for your one guest free.

  • 1) Purchase your Membership or Package here.

    2) Go to the Schedule or your Teacher's page, and follow the prompts to reserve your classes. Make sure to click the toggle for “recurring” class to be registered for each week.

  • Yes! If you are brand new to us we encourage you to try our 3-week unlimited classes for $59 offer. All the information is on our New Here page.

    If you simply want to try one class, go to the Class Schedule and click “Book Now” for the single class.

  • Absolutely! You can customize your schedule.

    1) Purchase a Membership or Pack according to your needs.

    2) Reserve individual classes as you need, within the dates of your membership or package plan.

    Memberships and Packs provide savings from the drop-in rate, and the more classes you purchase, the more you save.

    All membership or pack classes must be used completely before the expiration date. We offer many options: check them out on our Pricing page!

  • You are in control of managing your classes, and you may do so at any time from the website or from the App. At least half an hour before you miss your class simply cancel it from your account.

    We encourage you to reserve and take your make-up class within the time period of your current membership or class pack. If you do not reserve your class before the expiration of your current membership or class pack, that class is forfeit.

  • When you register for an online class, you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link. You will also receive a confirmation email with a Zoom link one hour before class begins. If you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder and also make sure you registered for Online instead of In Person.

    You may also go to our Class Schedule page on our website or in the App and click “Join Now.”

  • In studio you may bring your own mat, blocks, and strap or you may borrow ours. Our studio is fully stocked with these props and more.

    For live-streamed yoga classes you need a mat, strap, blanket, and two blocks.

    For live-stream Pilates or mobility stretch classes you need a mat, strap, and blanket.

    For classes with weights you provide your own weights if you are exercising at home.

  • If you have any physical or medical conditions, please consult your physician before starting any new exercise program and inform your instructor at the first class.

    If you wish to contact your instructor prior to your class, most instructors provide a method of contact on their profile on our Teachers page.   • Browse our Class Descriptions page for details on our yoga, Pilates, meditation, qigong, and specialty class offerings. We have classes for all abilities, all bodies, all ages. You can also search the schedule by individual instructor. Choose your teacher, and view their bio to see their class schedule.

  • Our online classes are not cancelled due to inclement weather. If we need to cancel in-studio classes due to hazardous weather, we will place a voice mail message on our phone answering machine at least two hours before your scheduled class. (410) 720-4340. If no cancellation message is found, your class will be held in-studio. On inclement weather days, in-studio registrants of hybrid classes will be switched to Zoom and sent an email two hours before class. Check your email for your notification and link. You are welcome to cancel that class and switch to another one if you prefer.

  • Yes. Summer break will be for one week, from Monday to Sunday, over the July 4 holiday. Winter break will be based around the winter holidays and always for the week leading up to New Year’s Day. The studio will be closed for at least one week to allow our teachers to rest and refresh over the holidays.

  • The Yoga Center of Columbia is closed for regular classes for one week over July 4th, on Thanksgiving Day, and for 1 week or so over the winter holidays and New Year's. Please check our Class Schedule to see if special workshops are being held over the break. Classes will be held on all other holidays during our sessions.

  • If you discover that you can no longer attend class, please contact the front desk as soon as possible. In general, we do not offer refunds once your membership or class pack expires.

    In the case of illness or extenuating circumstances, refunds may be available and are considered on a case-by-case basis based on the date you contact us, not the number of unattended classes. There are no refunds available after the expiration date of your membership or package.

  • Visit our Gift Cards page to purchase digital gift cards. You may also come into the studio to purchase a physical gift card.

  • Most instructors provide a method of contact on their profile on our Teachers page. If you need further assistance with communicating directly with a teacher, contact the front desk during our office hours, 9 am - 1 pm Monday through Sunday, at (410) 720-4340 or email info@columbiayoga.com.

  • Before your workshop begins, click the cancel button from the schedule page, then confirm that you want to unregister. You will receive an email confirmation. The credit for the workshop will go into your account.

  • We love friends supporting friends. We have a Refer and Earn program. Follow the directions on that page to share your referral link, and encourage your friend to register for our New Student Special.
