What have you learned or how have you grown since becoming a YCC instructor?

I feel like YCC is a safe space to create and to practice and grow and for that I am so grateful!  In addition to teaching, I've enjoyed several of the YCC hikes, community walks, workshops and other events.  I think of the community here as 'my people' - which is a huge blessing in my life!

What are your most memorable experiences relating to your practice?
All of us at the YCC are lifelong learners and it's fun to take classes when I can. My favorite workshop was Reiki, Restoratives and Reflexology with Linda and Mo - I felt so supported and cared for in the beautiful space they created.  The most memorable workshop I've led so far was 'Slow Flow with Guitar' which featured my father Matt - a professional guitarist, singer & songwriter.  It was so meaningful to share both yoga and music with the folks at YCC.

What to expect in class: Madeline incorporates elements from Vinyasa yoga, Ashtanga yoga, MFR (Myofascial Release,) Yin yoga, Gentle yoga, meditation, Laban Movement and Linklater Voice for a strong-but-soft teaching methodology to help her students reduce their overall stress levels and physical tension, and become more confident in their awareness and movements.

Madeline has been a Registered Yoga Teacher since 2017, and is also a trained singer and voice teacher! She is fascinated by the many parallels between the study and disciplines of yoga and singing, and feels blessed to practice and teach in both worlds. She aims to bring a sense of awareness, creativity and play to her intentional movement classes.
