Linda Stevens

she/her
RYT 200, Yin Yoga Specialist

What have you learned or how have you grown since becoming a YCC instructor?

How vast the history and philosophy of yoga is is. When you add all the anatomical studies that have been researched and added the past 100 years, you realize that you can never know everything about yoga and you should never stop studying.

What are your most memorable experiences relating to your practice?

The very first weekend retreat I did with Kathy back in 2008 was a small retreat at John Schumacher's retreat house in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. A week before the retreat, the cook had to drop out, so Kathy asked if I could do the cooking for 15 students for the weekend. It was so much fun, and I was hooked on the camaraderie of yoga retreats and have co-facilitated eight or ten more with Kathy over the years. Of course, I love going to retreat centers like Kripalu and Shoshoni and coming home so refreshed

What to expect in class: Linda enjoys combining yoga with the practices of Reiki and reflexology, and emphasizes practices that care for the mind, body, and spirit with gentle movement and mindfulness techniques.
