Jacqueline Fitch

she/her
RYT 500, Master EMYoga Teacher

What are your current areas of interest related to your practice?
I have been immersed in the study of Energy Medicine since 2016 - practices that have roots in many cultural, spiritual and healing traditions from all over the world - including qi gong, acupressure, the Five Element theory from ancient Chinese medicine, Reiki, Celtic wisdom, and more. These concepts have been used for thousands of years to work with the body's flow of energies and how our knowledge of these systems are vital to our health and well-being.

Besides teaching yoga, how do you spend your time?
I live and breathe to ski! My husband and I own a place at Snowshoe Mountain Resort in West Virginia, so in the winters, we try to spend as much time there as we possibly can. I worked there for several winters and on a return trip years later, met him one New Years Day! I spent many years resort-hopping, spending winters working in the mountains, and summers at the ocean.

What to expect in class: Jacqueline’s teaching focuses on the body as a living system of energy, as she weaves modern and ancient techniques into classic yoga postures activating our body’s natural healing intelligence. She is passionate in her teaching of yoga as the ancient art of self-care and as a touchstone for our daily lives, and focuses on the graceful practice of uniting conscious movement with breath in her classes.

Jacqueline has been teaching yoga since 2010 and has taught regularly at the Yoga Center of Columbia since 2018. She is an avid follower, student, and teacher of Energy Medicine Yoga™ and is dedicated to sharing the benefits of this practice with her YCC students.
