What are your most memorable trips and experiences related to your practice?

All my yoga retreats that I have led have been most amazing! Dominican Republic, Bali, Cuba, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Tulum, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Kenya, Greece, Galapagos…each one more amazing and magical than the other. I love connecting with people from different cultures and making long lasting friendships. I treasure spreading and sharing peace all around the world.

What are your current areas of interest related to your practice?

I love yoga, all dimensions of it. I love philosophy and mythology and how I can incorporate life affirming lessons into my life, knowing myself to a deeper level, fine tuning myself and bringing that wisdom to my students.

What to expect in class: Bita's approach to yoga is intelligent, playful, and heart-based. She emphasizes awareness, the breath, core principles, alignment, and integrating both movement and stillness to access our true nature. Her intention is to offer down-to-earth techniques and ways to incorporate them into our daily lives to help minimize stress, heal our bodies, and focus our minds.

Bita has been studying yoga for nearly five decades, teaching yoga since 2007, and teaching at the Yoga Center of Columbia since 2008. Outside of the YCC, Bita is a frequent host of yoga retreats around the globe with One Yoga Global.
